📋 Description

• Own and administer core business systems, including identity/SSO, endpoint management, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, and company-wide SaaS platforms • Design, deploy, and maintain systems and infrastructure supporting a fully remote workforce • Manage cloud-based directory services, VPN, and remote device management • Serve as an escalation point for complex helpdesk and end-user issues • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff • Manage IT security fundamentals, including endpoint protection, access reviews, MFA/SSO enforcement, patch management, and security alert response • Administer and monitor AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure supporting internal IT systems • Manage backups, uptime monitoring, and basic cloud cost hygiene • Lead or contribute to IT projects including tool migrations, onboarding/offboarding automation, new-hire hardware programs, and vendor evaluations • Build and maintain PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar automation and scripting • Maintain documentation and runbooks for systems, processes, and incident response • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and support external audits such as SOC 2 • Partner with People, Security, and Engineering teams on company-wide technology needs

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in IT engineering, systems administration, or a related infrastructure/support role • Experience supporting a remote or hybrid workforce • Hands-on experience administering identity and SaaS platforms such as Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Jamf, or Intune • Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and firewalls • Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP • Cloud security best practices • Scripting or automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar • Understanding of access control, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and patch management • Experience supporting compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 is a plus • Ability to work independently and communicate proactively in a fully remote, asynchronous environment across time zones • Strong customer-service orientation and ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft/Google admin certifications, or AWS/Azure fundamentals are a plus • Must currently live in Boston or the San Francisco Bay Area • Must currently live in the USA; visa sponsorship or transfer requirements are addressed in the application
