📋 Description
• Perform remote ophthalmic triage by assessing patient symptoms • Obtain ocular and medical histories • Evaluate the urgency of visual complaints using established protocols • Coordinate patient care by monitoring and responding to real-time communications from scheduling staff • Collaborate with scheduling teams and providers • Review, prioritize, and respond to electronic medical record messages • Document patient encounters, triage assessments, clinical recommendations, and provider communications
🎯 Requirements
• Completion of Ophthalmic Technician training • Certification as a certified Ophthalmic Technician by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) • No experience required above education/training requirement • Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
