📋 Description

At 8returns, we turn the costly chaos of e-commerce returns into streamlined, data-driven profit. • We've been trusted by some of the fastest-growing European DTC brands like OACE, PEGADOR, and GOT BAG, and are now ready to scale our proven solution to larger retail brands—with iconic brands such as Fielmann, Tommy Hilfiger, and FILA already leveraging our platform. This is where you step in. • As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at 8returns, you’ll have a direct impact on reducing the environmental and financial burden of e-commerce returns. With ownership over key product areas, you’ll help us scale from a powerful niche player into a global platform. If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving setting and want to be part of a small team solving global challenges, 8returns is where you’ll make a real difference. • Ship new features end-to-end using Rails, React, and Postgres. • Improve performance, reliability, and developer experience across the stack. • Own parts of the product and drive technical decisions. We’re not big on layers of abstraction or committees. • Jump into support, bugs, or integration issues when needed - but always with the goal of building systems or tools that make them disappear. • Work closely with the founders and PM to prioritize ruthlessly and ship what matters. • Tinker with AI to find ways we can work faster, automate more, or build new things we couldn’t before.

🎯 Requirements

• You have 3+ years of experience shipping production web apps with Rails and React • You’re a builder first, you care more about delivering value than arguing about patterns • You’re comfortable jumping between frontend, backend, APIs, and data models • You’ve got strong product instincts, you think about UX, not just code • You can handle ambiguity and tradeoffs without freaking out • You’re proactive, opinionated, and fast - you don’t wait to be told what to do • Experience with Postgres, Heroku, AWS • You’ve worked in early-stage SaaS or marketplace tools • You’ve played with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, LangChain, etc.) and see them as part of your workflow
