📋 Description

• Develop, plan, deliver, and continuously enhance practical training and continuing education programs for healthcare professionals on modern continuous glucose and ketone management • Communicate the medical value of continuous glucose and ketone monitoring and support healthcare professionals in interpreting and using glucose and ketone data for patient-centered diabetes management • Identify training needs and develop audience-specific training and continuing education programs • Independently lead and implement Medical Education projects at regional and national levels • Deliver internal training and support the onboarding of new employees • Work closely with colleagues in Medical Affairs, Sales, and other cross-functional teams • Represent Abbott Diabetes Care at regional and national events, workshops, and congresses, and attend occasional international meetings • Stay up to date on the latest developments in diabetes management and incorporate relevant guidelines and care recommendations • Plan and initiate field visits with healthcare professionals from a home-based office • Complete administrative tasks and prepare for and follow up on appointments and virtual meetings from a home-based office

🎯 Requirements

• Successfully completed vocational training in the healthcare sector • Additional qualification as a DDG Diabetes Educator or comparable qualification • Several years of experience in diabetes management and/or training healthcare professionals • Experience as a speaker, trainer, clinical instructor, or in delivering structured training programs is an advantage • Enjoyment of communicating practical, relevant content and working with a variety of target groups • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills • Structured, independent, and self-directed approach to work • Experience planning and organizing training or continuing education programs is an advantage • Proficiency with digital communication and presentation tools • Ideally resident within the assigned territory • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory, as well as occasionally attend out-of-area appointments and international meetings • Good written and spoken English skills
