📋 Description

• Execute AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field • Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts to maximize short- and long-term sales performance • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives • Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations to improve sales performance • Handle objections, misunderstandings, and concerns and gain calls to action to close sales calls • Serve customer needs and build trusted customer relationships and win-win agreements • Develop and execute call plans to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency • Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, products, clinical information, and sales expertise • Share market intelligence with field, brand, and sales teams • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers and develop disease-state experts and speakers/advocates

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required • At least five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, including three or more years within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred • High school diploma/GED required when using the experience alternative • Proactively identifies customer style/behavior and adapts selling approach • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment • Strong scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge • Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities • Leadership and peer coaching experience • Documented success in leadership/support roles of increased responsibility • Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience preferred • English language proficiency verbally and in writing for non-English-speaking countries • Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain them • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements • Ability to drive a personal auto, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment
