📋 Description
• Produce accurate 2D/3D roof plans, elevations, and custom fabrication details using AutoCAD or similar drafting software. • Assist estimators by calculating precise square footage, pitches, and material take-offs based on architectural drawings. • Work hand-in-hand with project managers and field teams to troubleshoot design issues and adjust plans based on on-site conditions. • Ensure all shop drawings and project plans comply with industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and local building codes.
🎯 Requirements
• Minimum of 1–2 years of drafting experience, ideally within the roofing, construction, or architectural industries. • High proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or industry-specific roofing CAD software. • Strong understanding of various roofing systems (e.g., TPO, EPDM, Metal, Shingle) and construction fundamentals. • Exceptional attention to detail, strong spatial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
