📋 Description
• Provide accurate and professional OPI/VRI interpretation for medical, emergency response (911), intervention, and social services calls. • Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional conduct as required for sensitive interactions. • Demonstrate cultural competence and the ability to remain neutral while facilitating communication. • Follow client-specific guidelines, terminology, and protocols for various service areas. • Ensure clear, accurate, and efficient communication between Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals and service providers.
🎯 Requirements
• Must reside in California or be able to travel to a local office in California when required. • Fluency in English and at least one other language, with strong listening and speaking skills. • Experience in medical interpretation • Strong understanding of interpreter ethics, confidentiality (including HIPAA compliance), and professional standards. • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace for remote interpretation. • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and accuracy.
