📋 Description

• Act as a trusted advisor and key partner to clients • Provide strategic leadership in scalable accounting operations • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures • Prepare and manage client budgets, cash forecasts, and financial reports • Manage the month-end closing and issue financial reports • Ensure all information is properly entered into QuickBooks & ICAT • Identify variances from the budget • Execute client conference calls to review strategy • Assist in gathering tax related information for external tax return preparation • Coordinate the provision of information to external audits for the annual audit • Review and approve monthly and quarterly tax filings • Complete special projects as requested by client • Develop client budgets and cash forecasting tools • Monitor budget performance, providing insights and recommendations • Direct a team of virtual accounting professionals

🎯 Requirements

• Active CPA, CMA or MBA • Extensive knowledge in accounting for businesses in the under $20M market • 10 – 15 years of progressive accounting experience • 5+ years in public accounting and 5+ years in private industry • 5 years supervisory experience • Government contracting industry experience • Solid understanding of federal contracts, full accrual accounting • Working knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements • Ability to multi-task and set daily, weekly and monthly priorities • Adaptive leadership style with a passion for mentoring staff • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Strong experience with QuickBooks, ICAT and/or other accounting software packages • High degree of computer literacy, including extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office.
