• Prepare, audit, and process bi-weekly payroll cycles • Manage hourly timecard review, corrections, and approvals (in 2026) • Support Paylocity configuration and workflow documentation • Partner with People Ops to maintain accurate employee records and job changes • Support 401(k) plan transition to Empower, including data validation and contribution audits • Monitor payroll inbox and resolve employee inquiries • Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with error resolution • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations • Prepare journal entries for payroll and bonus, including month-end accruals • Building and maintaining SOPs and process documentation • Improving and standardizing workflow and support files • Managing state and local tax filings (SUI, SIT, local taxes) • Monitoring and responding to tax agency notices • Supporting year-end tasks, including W-2 preparation, reconciliations, and corrections • Partnering with Legal on employment agreements and contractor classifications
• 2–6 years of payroll processing experience in a multi-state environment • Experience with Paylocity strongly preferred • Understanding of hourly workforce timekeeping and compliance rules • Familiarity with 401(k) plan administration • Strong audit, documentation, and reconciliation skills • Ability to work independently with tight deadlines
