📋 Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, requests for proposals, and other legal documents • Provide legal support and advice to product and business teams • Review, interpret, and match legal requirements to business scenarios • Communicate legal requirements effectively to internal and external stakeholders • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and protection regulations, including the EU and UK GDPR • Balance risks in business processes and decision making

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from an accredited university • Membership in a Canadian provincial or territorial law society • 2+ years of experience as a tech legal counsel (in-house or a law firm) • Strong negotiating skills with both legal and business counterparties • Experience negotiating tech agreements (NDA, SaaS Agreement, EULA, MSA, SOW, DPA, etc.) • Experience building trustful relationships with internal clients • Demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations • Ability to work independently
