• Timely and accurately post a high volume of patient and insurance payments and adjustments and patient refunds via electronic file, paper remittances and credit cards • Reconciles all payments to the account, remittance, and batch on a daily basis and maintain balancing spreadsheets • Identifies issues with billing and coding and reimbursement related to payment reconciliation and communicate with supervisor • Provides billing guidance and support to the branch locations as related to questions about the application of payments • Offers input and maintains reporting requirements relative to cash applications spreadsheets • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information • Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department • Follows all Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements • Abides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards • Performs other duties as assigned
• High school diploma or GED • Two years of cash applications experience required, preferably in medical setting • Ability to read and interpret payor remittances • Ability to proficiently use a 10key • Computer Proficiency MS Office • Excellent customer service and verbal/written communication skills • Ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines
