âą The Nursing Assistant Training Program (NATP) Director must be a registered nurse with an associate or bachelors degree and licensure in nursing âą The Program Director is responsible for the oversight of the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction, clinical training, and related activities âą General supervision of instruction includes, but is not limited to, the oversight of instructors, curriculum, verification of student training, and certifying with CDPH the successful completion of NATP training âą Assesses the instructional needs of students in the program and helps coordinate the development of a plan to address these needs âą Ensures program compliance according to CDPH requirements âą Oversees instructor(s) to ensure program compliance âą Monitors to ensure the NATP remains compliant with regulatory requirements and has competent instructors âą Plans, conducts, and tracks student progress in theory âą Plans, conducts, and supervises clinical activities in accordance with the CDPH-approved program âą Responsible for instructional and student counseling âą Ensures the accuracy of student information - Photo ID, TB, physical, BCIA 8016 live scan, and CDPH 283B Initial Application âą Reviews and signs completed student records âą Reviews student records (theory and clinical), skills check-off, and weekly progress reports âą Reviews attendance in theory and clinicals âą Ensures students complete all program requirements âą Responsible for monitoring the programs instructors for compliance and effectiveness
âą Valid nursing license (RN) âą Possesses a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, at least 1 year of which must be in the provision of long-term care facility services âą Must provide a copy of the resume and evidence of a current license âą Must be approved by the California Department of Public Health as a Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP) Program Director âą Ability to interact and communicate courteously and tactfully with managers, co-workers, students, vendors, and stakeholders âą Ability to work in a team environment, use tact and diplomacy, and exhibit problem-solving skills, as well as multitasking, and work well under pressure âą Possession of a valid CA Drivers License and reliable transportation âą Strong commitment to social and economic justice âą Commitment to the goals, mission, and values of CCA.
