📋 Description

• Manage and lead the Electrical Engineering team within AECOM's US Energy Practice • Support Director of Engineering in advancing the culture of technical excellence and accountability • Supervise and lead a team of electrical engineers through individual and team technical development • Provide mentorship to electrical engineers within the US Energy Practice and other remote teams • Lead improvements in project efficiencies by creating, updating, and implementing group-specific standards/templates and recommending software packages/plug-ins • Provide input to management on project resourcing and staff forecasting needs • Develop task and deliverable lists with associated hours estimates and schedules to support business development activities • Actively support recruiting efforts • Support projects through complete life cycle including feasibility, preliminary and detailed design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioning • Responsible for electrical engineering design work on assigned projects; function as the Engineer of Record • Collaborate with multi-discipline technical leads to integrate electrical across projects and client solutions • Function as technical electrical lead on assigned projects and perform engineering calculations to support construction deliverables • Generate construction and equipment specifications and provide quality control reviews of work developed by others • Monitor team project progress to ensure quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery and maintain technical and safety standards • Participate in and present engineering and design work at client meetings, including occasional travel • Coordinate and provide technical expertise for mid- to large-size projects; lead technical client relationships and technical business development • Approve and sign off on work and provide estimates for engineering budget and schedule for large, complex projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited college or university • A minimum of 10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience within industrial and/or power facilities • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license • 5+ years experience in team supervision (preferred) • 7+ years as discipline technical lead on industrial or power generation projects (preferred) • Physical design experience for industrial facilities (preferred) • Demonstrated experience in participating complex, multi-discipline programs/projects and teams (preferred) • Passion in developing talented technical teams (preferred) • Experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finish (preferred) • Experience workshare with high value engineering centers (preferred) • Field construction and commissioning experience (preferred) • Successful experience working in remote and multi-discipline teams (preferred) • Expert familiarity with industry codes and standards (NFPA, NEC, NESC, IEEE, etc.) (preferred) • Expert familiarity of current building codes and standards (preferred) • Power systems analysis software experience (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower) (preferred) • Solar or BESS facility experience (preferred) • Experience working in collaborative 3D model environments (e.g. Navisworks) and laser scan data (preferred) • Active participation in industry or code committees (preferred) • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
