📋 Description

• Lead Structural Engineer on projects, may include reviewing project designs, plans and specifications • Providing specialized technical input on water-related projects • Managing structural projects, including design tasks and coordination of work with multi-disciplined engineering staff within AECOM and our joint venture partners • Experience in preparation of proposals, technical specifications and design documents, report writing, technical engineering support, and limited support and inspection during construction • Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices • As necessary, modifies established guidelines, devises new approaches, applies existing criteria in new ways and draws conclusions from comparative situations • Perform condition assessments and site visits as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • 10 + years' experience in structural design (preferred) • Master's degree in structural engineering (preferred) • Project management skills (preferred) • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing • Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools and software) • Knowledgeable of other standard engineering practices, techniques, and applicable codes, such as ACI, ASIC, ASCE, AASHTO, and various USACE Engineering Manuals • Knowledge of current structural modeling software tools including finite element analysis • A current PE license in the State of LA, TX, or others (preferred)
