📋 Description

• Direct and manage the entire QA testing protocol from early game design to final release • Attend planning and sprint meetings as the QA representative • Advocate for QA needs and identify required testing coverage or QA development effort • Coordinate with development and creative teams to address issues promptly • Guide QA testers in daily tasks and project goals • Oversee daily smoke tests and performance checks across game versions and platforms • Ensure defects are systematically reported and tracked • Develop, enhance, and maintain detailed test cases and scripts • Identify, analyze, and report issues with actionable recommendations • Lead submission testing through crucial phases before public release • Integrate player and team feedback to improve game quality and player satisfaction • Own the assigned project end to end, tracking timelines and QA representation • Formulate and communicate structured test plans, timelines, priorities, and ownership • Delegate tasks across internal and outsourced QA resources and track progress • Respond to cross-department requests in a timely manner • Identify defect and workflow patterns and propose process, tooling, and preventive testing improvements • Improve QA practices and apply effective QA tooling and AI-assisted testing tools

🎯 Requirements

• Proven QA lead experience overseeing at least 3 game projects from conception to release • Experience with console game testing • Proven track record leading similar teams • Advanced bug/defect tracking skills using tools like JIRA • Deep understanding of game development components and QA methodologies • Excellent communication abilities • Experience managing outsourced QA partners • Strong written communication skills for documenting and presenting test plans • Ability to analyze complex issues and deliver actionable insights • Ability to lead, inspire, and enhance team capabilities and morale • Genuine enthusiasm for gaming
