📋 Description

• Own and evolve the privacy platform, including its core engine, safety mechanisms, audit trail, deployment, on-call, and observability • Design and maintain the platform contract used by product areas • Build documentation, templates, and self-service tooling so 15+ areas can manage their own data rules and dependencies • Coach product areas through pairing and syncs • Coordinate legal, security, data, and data-producing areas on requirements and cross-area dependencies • Resolve design trade-offs and drive platform design questions to conclusion • Own the GDPR Orchestrator and shape the roadmap for data lifecycle management at scale • Improve platform safety, observability, and developer experience • Expand the platform across data stores and third-party systems as Alan enters new countries • Write code, deploy to production, and operate systems through rollouts, alerting, on-call, and incident response

🎯 Requirements

• Senior-level experience, typically 8+ years, in backend or platform software engineering, or equivalent • Deep production ownership, including API and contract design, data modeling, and operating shipped work • Experience building and operating platforms, libraries, or services used by other engineers • Ability to work across many teams and influence legal, security, data, and product teams without direct authority • Pragmatic approach to shipping sound, safe solutions and improving them over time • Prior privacy, GDPR, or data-governance exposure is a strong plus • Experience working in an enabling or platform-team operating model is a strong plus • Hands-on coding experience with Python and TypeScript • Experience shipping and operating production systems, including rollouts, alerting, on-call, and incident response • Ability to write framing documents, draw dependency maps, and align teams on design decisions • Fluent in English; French is not required • Must be legally eligible to work in France, Belgium, or Spain
