âą Design and update website layouts, page templates, and user interface components for SAMHSA digital platforms. âą Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma. âą Support responsive and mobile-first web design initiatives. âą Assist with implementation and refinement of design systems, style guides, and reusable UI components. âą Design graphics, icons, banners, and visual assets supporting web and digital communications initiatives. âą Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications and user experience requirements. âą Support Storybook component documentation and UI consistency across web applications and digital properties. âą Contribute to maintenance and organization of shared Figma libraries, components, and design standards. âą Support usability improvements through user-centered design approaches and feedback analysis. âą Ensure designs align with Section 508 accessibility requirements, WCAG standards, and USWDS guidelines. âą Participate in UX reviews, design critiques, and accessibility validation activities. âą Help improve navigation structures, content layouts, and overall user engagement. âą Support testing and validation of reusable Storybook components for accessibility and responsiveness. âą Work closely with content managers, developers, QA testers, and stakeholders to support ongoing web modernization efforts. âą Participate in sprint planning, design discussions, and project coordination meetings. âą Support high-visibility campaigns, microsites, and rapid-turnaround web updates as needed. âą Document design specifications and maintain organized design files and assets in Figma and related collaboration platforms. âą Coordinate with front-end developers to ensure alignment between Storybook components and implemented UI experiences.
âą 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, web design, or digital product design âą Experience designing websites and digital experiences for Drupal or enterprise CMS platforms âą Advanced proficiency with Figma and familiarity with Storybook component libraries and design systems âą Strong understanding of responsive design principles and accessibility best practices âą Familiarity with modern web design standards, layouts, typography, and component-based design systems âą Strong communication and collaboration skills âą Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
