• We are looking for a Corporate Development & Strategy Manager (m/f/d) to provide strong support to our Corporate Development & Strategy team. • You will take independent ownership of workstreams in our M&A processes, investor communications and key strategic initiatives for the CEO, CFO and Advisory Board. • M&A Sourcing & Pipeline Management: Maintain and further develop our M&A pipeline, perform structured evaluations of new targets and conduct outreach and banker calls. • Acquisition Process Project Management: Manage the due diligence and legal documentation streams — including independently executing Commercial Due Diligence, from analysis to the final decision memo for management and the Advisory Board. • Responsibility for integration planning and the PMO after closing — including tracking levers, synergies and milestones. • Corporate Finance: Support the structuring and execution of our acquisition financings (equity and debt) in close collaboration with our CFO. • Investor Relations: Professional management of our shareholder base — including monthly investor reporting and communication with our Advisory Board. • Strategy & CEO/CFO Support: Independently handle strategic ad-hoc projects for the CEO and CFO — e.g., market entry and portfolio questions, make-or-buy cases, and preparation of decision memos and presentations for our shareholders. • AI Enablement: Actively use and further develop our AI workflows for analysis, reporting and presentations. • Mentoring: Provide technical leadership and onboarding for our working students and interns within the team.
• At least 2–4 years of professional experience in investment banking (M&A), private equity, a start-up, strategy consulting, transaction services or a comparable function. • Very good degree in Business/Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering or another quantitative discipline. • You work analytically and strategically, rapidly grasp complex issues and translate them into clear storylines — both in writing and in management-ready presentations. • You have strong numerical skills and are proficient in Excel — you structure complex calculations cleanly and produce decision-ready deliverables. • You communicate confidently with external stakeholders (consultants, targets, shareholders), run meetings independently and represent AlphaPet professionally externally. • Ownership and pragmatism are natural to you: you take responsibility for your workstreams, prioritize by impact (80/20 where appropriate, depth where success-critical) and present a proposed solution when raising blockers. • AI-affine and practical: you actively use AI tools (e.g., Claude) to increase efficiency and quality and drive the further development of our AI workflows. • Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
