📋 Description
• Oversee the translation, editing, and proofreading of Brazilian Portuguese video game content. • Collaborate directly with client-side stakeholders to align tone, style, and terminology. • Drive creative language decisions across various game genres and platforms. • Develop and maintain style guides, glossaries, and linguistic resources. • Review key assets, manage linguistic escalations, and resolve queries. • Work cross-functionally with internal teams (Audio, LQA, Project Managers). • Train and mentor both internal and external translators on best practices and workflows. • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize localization processes.
🎯 Requirements
• Familiarity with Blizzard ® projects (such as World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Overwatch and Diablo). • Native-level Brazilian Portuguese and fluency in English (written and spoken). • Minimum 4 years of experience editing video game content, especially MMORPGs. • Solid experience with CAT tools and project management platforms (e.g. memoQ, Jira, MS Office). • Background in linguistics, translation, or language studies. • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure. • Ability to work in Central European Time (CET).
