📋 Description

• Process tenders from transmission system operators for protection and secondary systems in high- and extra-high-voltage substations • Design protection systems for 220 kV and 380 kV installations in compliance with applicable standards and operational safety requirements • Develop protection concepts such as distance protection, differential protection, and breaker-failure logic • Parameterize Siemens SIPROTEC protection relays and create consistent device settings • Conduct technical clarifications with transmission system operators, planners, customers, and internal departments • Prepare protection diagrams, logic matrices, deviation lists, and technical specifications • Prepare and review FAT and SAT test plans for factory and commissioning tests • Support protection testing and assist with fault analysis and commissioning

🎯 Requirements

• Completed degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification • Strong theoretical and practical expertise with protection relays such as Siemens SIPROTEC (7SA6, 7SD6, 7UT6, 7SJ6), ABB RELION, or GE MiCOM • Proficient in ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or PSS/E • Confident in parameterizing protection devices using DIGSI 5/6 or ABB PCM600 • Experience with OMICRON Test Universe (CMC, CMControl) or Doble F6150 • Knowledge of IEC 61850, IEC 60255, VDE 0101/0102, and ENTSO-E guidelines • Precise technical documentation using AutoCAD, EPLAN, or MS Visio • In-depth understanding of protection engineering, grid operating procedures, and secondary systems • Willingness to travel occasionally to test facilities, customer sites, or construction sites • Fluent in German and English
