📋 Description

• Process tenders from transmission system operators (TSOs) for protection and secondary systems in high- and extra-high-voltage substations • Plan and design protection systems for 220 kV and 380 kV installations in compliance with standards and operational safety • Develop protection concepts such as distance protection, differential protection and breaker-failure logic • Parameterize protection relays such as Siemens SIPROTEC (e.g., 7SA6, 7SD6) and create consistent device settings • Conduct technical clarifications with TSOs, planners, clients and internal departments • Prepare protection schematics, logic matrices, deviation lists and technical specifications • Create and review FAT and SAT test plans for factory and commissioning tests • Support protection testing and assist with fault analysis and commissioning

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification • Proficient with protection relays such as Siemens SIPROTEC (7SA6, 7SD6, 7UT6, 7SJ6), ABB RELION or GE MiCOM in theory and practice • Experienced with planning software such as ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or PSS/E • Confidently parameterize protection devices using DIGSI 5/6 or ABB PCM600 • Efficient use of test systems such as OMICRON Test Universe (CMC, CMControl) or Doble F6150 • Familiarity with relevant standards such as IEC 61850, IEC 60255, VDE 0101/0102 and ENTSO‑E guidelines • Produce technical documentation in AutoCAD, EPLAN or MS Visio precisely and in a structured way • Deep understanding of protection engineering, grid operation processes and secondary systems • Willingness to travel occasionally to test facilities, customers or construction sites • Fluent in German and English
