📋 Description

• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, deferrals, and reclassifications under US GAAP • Own assigned month-end close tasks and deliver against the close calendar • Apply ASC 606 revenue-recognition principles to marketplace and wholesale channels • Prepare supporting schedules and deliverables for external auditors • Reconcile inventory across locations, sales channels, 3PL warehouses, Amazon FBA, and in-transit inventory to the general ledger • Investigate inventory variances and maintain landed-cost build-ups • Support excess and slow-moving inventory reserves • Execute receipts, transfers, and other inventory transactions • Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned balance-sheet accounts • Perform flux and trend analysis on balance-sheet and P&L accounts • Identify and clear unreconciled items, stale balances, and misclassifications • Document accounting processes and identify manual steps, control gaps, and single points of failure • Automate recurring data pulls and reconciliations using Excel/Google Sheets, SQL/BigQuery, or comparable tools • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketplace teams to improve upstream data quality • Recommend and help implement internal-control improvements • Support external auditors and lenders with clean, reviewable support

🎯 Requirements

• 2–5 years of accounting experience, including full-cycle month-end close • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance • Working knowledge of US GAAP, including inventory and revenue recognition • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and large-volume data • Experience with QuickBooks • Accuracy, ownership, and follow-through on recurring deadlines
