📋 Description

• Lead the strategy and execution of document-to-data transformation initiatives • Architect and lead development of AI-powered document processing pipelines • Evaluate and integrate IDP platforms (e.g., Klippa, Rossum, Docsumo, Nanonets) • Build scalable APIs and services for document ingestion, classification, and structured data extraction • Stay on the cutting edge of AI advancements and assess applicability to AmeriSave’s workflows • Collaborate with product, data science, and operations to optimize downstream analytics and decisioning • Drive innovation in post-OCR structuring (tables, formulas, handwriting recognition) • Ensure systems meet regulatory, privacy, and security standards • Mentor engineers and foster a culture of experimentation, ownership, and excellence • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and improve document intelligence capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering • 3+ years in a leadership role • Deep expertise in OCR (Tesseract, Google Vision, AWS Textract) • Deep expertise in NLP (spaCy, HuggingFace) • Deep expertise in LLMs (Gemini, OpenAI, Claude) • Proven experience integrating IDP platforms into enterprise workflows • Strong understanding of document formats: PDFs, scanned images, structured forms • Experience with Python, Java, or Node.js • Experience with cloud-native architecture • Familiarity with RAG pipelines, vector databases, and semantic search • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Passion for evaluating new technologies and driving continuous improvement • Bonus: Experience with BytePro LOS and Asterisk telephony systems • Bonus: Knowledge of mortgage compliance frameworks such as HMDA, TRID, RESPA, and ECOA • Bonus: Experience in fintech, lending, or mortgage tech • Bonus: Contributions to open-source document AI projects • Bonus: Familiarity with compliance workflows (e.g., KYC, income verification)
