📋 Description

• Manage civil litigation for American Family and our insureds, following established guidelines and the highest ethical standards • Analyze files as litigation progresses as well as risk to the company • Evaluate cases and seek settlement as necessary • Draft all necessary pleadings, papers and briefs to advance litigation activities • Conduct necessary research in support of drafting activities • Advocate client position in all forums • Negotiate effectively in the resolution of all issues • Stay current on state statutes and court decisions and analyze how they affect various policy provisions • May develop areas of specialty practice

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service • Demonstrated experience preparing civil pleadings, motions and discovery and deposing witnesses • Demonstrated litigation experience • Solid knowledge and understanding of rules of Professional Responsibility for the jurisdiction in which they practice • Solid knowledge and understanding of tort, contract, and insurance law • Admitted to the IL state bar • Juris Doctor
