📋 Description

• Lead and support control systems projects through all phases—feasibility, design, implementation, and commissioning • Identify opportunities to expand automation and electrification scope within projects to deliver additional client value • Collaborate closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project goals, timelines, and budgets are successfully achieved • Design and develop modern control systems (hardware and software) tailored to client needs • Develop process control narratives to integrate automation solutions with new and existing equipment and processes • Build and implement control algorithms and logic, based on industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies • Test, simulate, and troubleshoot systems to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance • Produce clear, high-quality technical documentation and project deliverables • Drive checkout and commissioning activities to completion including the ability to provide training to operations and maintenance teams on DCS system handover

🎯 Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Engineering (automation, electrical, or related field) • Registration as EIT, P.Eng., or AScT in British Columbia • 10+ years of industrial experience (Pulp & Paper and consulting experience is a strong asset) • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Hands-on design and configuration experience with DCS platforms (e.g., ABB, Emerson, Foxboro, Honeywell) • Experience with PLC/HMI systems and project management is an asset • Proven problem-solving ability across control systems hardware, software, and communications • Strong knowledge of industrial networking and cybersecurity practices • Willingness and ability to travel to domestic and international project sites • Legally entitled to work in Canada
