📋 Description

• Lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions, and guide an engineering team through AI-driven product initiatives • Design, implement, and optimize complex, scalable backend functionality using Java, Spring, and AWS • Own frontend delivery using TypeScript and Angular or React • Lead implementation of AI chatbot capabilities, data quality improvements, and dynamic reporting • Use and promote AI developer tools such as Cursor and Claude • Ensure code quality through unit, integration, and end-to-end testing • Conduct peer code reviews and solve performance-related challenges • Partner with Product Owners, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams • Contribute to BigPicture, a cloud-based SaaS platform with over 100 modules and thousands of tenants • Report to the Engineering Manager and work cross-functionally with product, UX, and DevOps

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience acting as a Tech Lead, driving technical direction, making architectural choices, and mentoring senior/mid-level engineers • Deep, practical knowledge of Java, Spring, Hibernate, and SQL • Strong understanding of SaaS architecture and extensive experience building/scaling applications in cloud environments, specifically AWS • Good hands-on skills in TypeScript and Angular or React, with willingness to develop fullstack features • High comfort level with AI technologies and proficiency with AI-assisted development practices, specifically Cursor and Copilot • Interest or background in implementing AI features, such as LLM integration and data indexing • Good understanding of SOLID principles and common design patterns • Proficiency in JUnit/Spock, Git, Maven, and Docker • Experience evolving and scaling established systems beyond greenfield projects • Ability to use profiling tools and write efficient code that performs well under load • Excellent communication in remote/hybrid environments using Slack, Zoom, and G Suite • Exceptional coaching, mentoring, and people development skills
