📋 Description
• Define and enforce data governance standards (accuracy, consistency, compliance) • Own event tracking and product instrumentation strategy and build unified product data model in the data lake • Build and maintain documentation and scalable data quality processes • Oversee and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines and maintain data warehousing (Azure Data Lake Gen2, Databricks) • Deliver self-service dashboards (Power BI, Amplitude) and automated reporting for stakeholders • Provide research support for ad-hoc business questions and strategic projects • Deliver product analytics insights (usage, adoption, retention, engagement) to guide product roadmap • Oversee data lake ingestion/ETL in collaboration with Data Pipeline Engineer and ensure reliable governed data for company reporting • Partner with executives, product managers, and engineers; facilitate planning, Jira task management, and agile workflows • Lead, mentor, and support the data and product analytics team; conduct 1:1s, performance feedback, and career development planning
🎯 Requirements
• Advanced SQL (complex queries, optimisation) • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, APIs, data processing) • Experience with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel or similar) • Experience owning or managing a cloud data lake (Azure Data Lake Gen2 + Databricks preferred) • Power BI (expert-level) – building dashboards, DAX, data modelling • Familiarity with Scala • Background in data governance and product instrumentation • Experience mentoring or managing analysts/engineers • Experience overseeing ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing • Stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills • Nice-to-have: predictive modelling, A/B testing, machine learning experience • Familiarity with GDPR/CCPA compliance
