AQ International is a Belgian specialist in maintaining, renovating and cleaning climate (HVAC) and drinking-water systems. The company provides renovation and energy-efficiency upgrades of air-handling units (including EC-fans and heat exchangers), cooling-tower renovation with legionella and corrosion control, deep cleaning of ventilation ducts, air socks, condensers and heat pumps, and legionella management and compliance services. AQ International offers inspections, disinfection, protective coating (EnergyGuard®) and climate concepts aimed at improving safety, legal compliance, energy efficiency and the longevity of building installations for clients such as healthcare facilities, hotels, datacenters, food industry, municipalities, schools and industrial/pharma sites.

📋 Description

• Stand up and scale a high-performing engineering team • Own day-to-day engineering operations: sprint delivery, technical quality, capacity planning • Drive technical excellence: architecture decisions, code quality, production reliability • Be the primary escalation point for technical blockers and delivery risks • Partner with SVP on hiring, team development, and strategic planning

🎯 Requirements

• 5/8+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or platform engineering roles • 3+ years leading engineering teams (hiring, performance management, delivery accountability) • Direct experience with modern data stack (cloud data warehouses preferred) • Track record of delivering complex data platform initiatives • Experience operating in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments • Ability to review code, debug production issues, and make sound architectural judgments.
