📋 Description

• You take on strategic responsibility while staying close to the technology • Focused on the transformation to secure, scalable and future-proof cloud infrastructures • Technical and disciplinary responsibility for an experienced team of Cloud & DevOps Engineers • Technical leadership of project teams, project coordination and resource planning • Active development of your team members – both technically and personally • Approximately 60% of your time is spent directly contributing to client projects • Architecture and design with a focus on private cloud environments as well as selected public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, STACKIT) • Product ownership and development of technical visions for our clients • Support with tenders and proposals as well as technical assistance in presales discussions • Strategic contribution to ARES’s growth

🎯 Requirements

• Degree or vocational training in an IT-related field • Relevant industry experience in the public sector or KRITIS (critical infrastructure) environment • Experience in recruiting and line-managing personnel • Experience in designing and architecting modern cloud and platform solutions, particularly in private-cloud or hybrid environments • Strong knowledge of the Kubernetes ecosystem • Understanding of public cloud providers and their services is desirable (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, STACKIT) • Experience in presales or technical customer consulting is an advantage • Ability to justify technical decisions confidently • You incorporate IT security into all technical decisions • Independent, communicative working style with a strong customer orientation • Very good German and English skills • Willingness to travel within Germany (on average max. 3 days/month) • Willingness to undergo a security check (SÜ1 or SÜ2) under the Security Clearance Act (SÜG)
