📋 Description

• Configure and test billing workflows during EMR implementation. • Validate payer rules, claim formats, and service codes for behavioral health and SUD programs. • Support data migration and confirm accuracy of patient demographics, authorizations, and billing records. • Prepare, review, and submit clean claims to Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payers. • Track claim status, resolve denials, and complete payment reconciliations. • Audit data between the EMR and payer portals to ensure accuracy. • Collaborate with Utilization Review, Admissions, and Finance teams to align authorizations and billing details. • Document processes and assist in creating standard billing workflows.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare billing; behavioral health or SUD experience preferred. • Proficiency with CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding. • Experience with West Virginia Medicaid and commercial payers. • Strong Excel and data management skills. • Organized, accurate, and dependable with excellent follow-through. • Experience supporting EMR or billing system implementation. • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Healthcare Administration. • Knowledge of 42 CFR Part 2 and behavioral health confidentiality standards.
