📋 Description
• Safely manage snowmaking crew including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems • Maintain all snowmaking equipment and machinery including compressors, pumps, control systems, and anything else associated with the snowmaking operation • Advise and recommend purchasing decisions for equipment, capital investment, design and operation • Help lead and direct the design, planning and installation of snowmaking expansion and repair projects • Implement long term strategy for energy efficiency, reducing water consumption and minimizing snowmaking builds within the parameters of seasonal temperatures, operation dates and event calendar • Oversee and direct all summer maintenance projects • Prepare and manage to annual budget • Ensure timely and accurate pay for all employees • Maintain positive working relationships with all departments • Other duties as assigned
🎯 Requirements
• Must be 18 years of age or older • High school degree or equivalent preferred • Valid, current unrestricted Driver’s License required • Prior snowmaking experience required • Prior management experience preferred • Ability to obtain ASC snowmobile license • Intermediate ski/snowboard skills preferred • Must pass background and DMV check • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to manage and lead diverse teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment • Skills in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders • Ability to delegate tasks effectively, empowering teams while maintaining accountability • Cost Consciousness - works within approved budget; develops and implements cost-saving measures; contributes to profits and revenue; conserves organizational resources • Planning/Organizing - prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; sets goals and objectives; organizes or schedules other people and their tasks; develops realistic action plans • Safety and Security - observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly
