📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with AspenTech sales teams to lead consultative discovery sessions, craft visionary solutions, and design strategies tailored to customer needs • Lead and execute the technical qualification of solutions to a business outcome • Serve as a discipline/practice subject matter expert on operational challenges, best practices, and industry trends • Learn the complete AspenTech product portfolio and identify products that solve customer business challenges • Develop messaging and materials to position AspenTech solutions, adapting for regional or market differences • Partner with Sales Account Managers throughout the sales cycle, from discovery and solution design to executive presentations and deal execution • Engage senior customer executives to communicate how AspenTech can support their digitalisation journey • Develop industry-specific solutions aligned with measurable business value • Provide market input to Product Management teams to improve solution adoption • Identify and lead sales campaigns to improve reach, pipeline, and awareness • Coach and enable Sales Account Managers and Solution Consultants on industry-specific messaging, customer engagement strategies, and solution positioning • Represent AspenTech at industry conferences, customer forums, webinars, and trade events across the region

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in industrial software, services, solution consulting, presales, technical sales or related customer-facing technical roles • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline (preferred) • Proficiency in Asset Performance Management (Mtell), Industrial Data Platforms (Inmation), Historians (InfoPlus.21), and Advanced Process Control & Real Time Optimization (RTO) (DMC3, GDOT, Aspen Plus), or equivalent competitor technologies • Demonstrated successes in business development • Strong ability to bridge technology and business, articulating high-level technical solutions and their differentiated value • Strong drive to convert opportunities into recognised value for customers, with exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills • Must be authorized to work in South Africa without restriction/sponsorship • Services or solution consulting exposure to industries such as Metals & Mining, LNG, Specialty Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Polymers, Consumer Packaged Goods, Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, Power Generation, and Water & Wastewater (nice-to-have) • Breadth across several AspenTech solution areas / well-rounded across multiple disciplines (nice-to-have) • Knowledge of AI/ML solutions and their application in industry (nice-to-have) • Strong understanding of digital transformation initiatives within asset-intensive industries (nice-to-have) • Regional travel up to 35%
