📋 Description

• Responsible for analyzing, developing, and improving industrial processes • Supports the design and analysis of mechanical components and system designs for nuclear and commercial projects • Collaborates with productions teams, quality control, and other engineers to ensure processes run efficiently and meet safety and regulatory standards • Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as chemical engineering systems including reaction vessels, filtration systems, ion-exchange skids, piping and vessel systems • Performs a variety of engineering calculations using traditional engineering methods to document compliance with project and code requirements • May run experiments and tests to assist in the preparation of design documents and plant modifications • Ensures relevant design criteria, specifications, practices, procedures and codes and site design and safety and licensing basis are used in preparation of design media • Works in multi-discipline teams on project-based work and ensures integration of design across multiple disciplines • Will conduct mentoring and quality reviews of the work of junior colleagues when needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or related Engineering field • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience • Experience in nuclear industry preferred • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks • Ability to complete complex technical work with limited supervision • Higher-level knowledge and application of skills of fundamental principles and concepts related to process and systems design • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines • Eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810 • Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered
