📋 Description

• Act as a technical reference at Aurum, elevating the architectural ecosystem of Astrea, the company’s main product • Drive initiatives that span multiple teams, translating business objectives into sustainable engineering decisions • Lead and evolve cross-team architectural decisions with a focus on resilience • Implement critical solutions and guide the evolution of the tech stack • Mentor developers in industry best practices • Support the development of observability and monitoring • Collaborate with peer teams to create solutions for internal stakeholders • Define and disseminate quality standards, design patterns, security and performance guidelines across the technology organization • Improve the quality of code reviews, automated test coverage and CI/CD pipelines • Operate with mastery of coding, architecture and observability layers at a level above Senior

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience with Java, Kotlin, relational and non-relational databases (MongoDB, DataStore, PostgreSQL), Spring Boot, AWS, microservices, distributed systems, Kafka, SNS, SQS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Grafana, Prometheus, unit testing, CI/CD, Amazon Kiro, Claude, Codex and New Relic • Experience with mission-critical, high-availability systems handling high-scale data and event processing • Deep knowledge of software architecture and domain-driven design • Hands-on experience with monitoring, observability and system metrics • Experience evolving microservices, developing APIs and integrating with asynchronous messaging • Knowledge of engineering practices: Linting, GitFlow, Clean Code and Design Patterns • Experience in incident management and leading action plans (post-mortem) • Ability to exert technical influence with clear and assertive communication • Clear and effective communication to align expectations and negotiate deadlines with technical and business stakeholders • Strong organizational, planning and task/project management skills • Ability to understand service integrations and prevent architectural bottlenecks • Initiative and ownership to identify technical debt and architectural improvements • Plus: experience with AI platform architecture applied to product, advanced observability (APM, tracing, SLOs) • Plus: productivity strategies and experience on a Staff/Principal career track in medium/large SaaS products • Plus: automation of development processes with AI, including generation of unit tests, code review, spec-driven development, ADRs and RFCs
