📋 Description
• Co-authoring a daily and twice-weekly Axios newsletter to start that features insights and scoops that matter most to the local audience • A command of the local market along with the sourcing necessary to illuminate busy readers about the community where they live • Helping build Axios Local and shape how the product evolves • Ability to create stories across multiple platforms, including newsletter, web and social media.
🎯 Requirements
• Experience covering news and a deep understanding of Cincinnati and surrounding region • Excellent sources and ability to create new ones • Strong reporting skills and comfort working independently and on deadline • Ability to decipher data, break news and create conceptual scoops • Background in understanding local and national news coverage more broadly • A belief in and dedication to writing in Smart Brevity
