📋 Description
• Deliver formal education to staff and providers • Develop impactful learning modules • Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and continuous improvement • Assist with onboarding new hires • Provide ongoing, continuing education and competency assessments • Perform concurrent, retrospective, and secondary clinical chart reviews
🎯 Requirements
• 5 years of hospital acute-care inpatient clinical experience • 2 years of Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) experience • Solid understanding of Diagnostic Related Group (DRG) methodologies, coding rules, regulations, and ICD-10-CM guidelines • Registered Nurse (R.N.) license or graduate of foreign medical school with Doctor of medicine degree • Familiarity with AHIMA Guidelines for Compliant Query Practices • Functional knowledge of computer-assisted coding software
