📋 Description

• Direct general accounting function, ensuring best practices for systems and procedures are documented and implemented in accordance with GAAP. • Oversee the balance sheet and income statement, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to stakeholders. • Review and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing reports focusing on data accuracy, correct project allocations, cash flow, and the minimization of adjusting journals. • Prepare and review monthly financial reports as requested, and present financial analysis to the VP, Finance and CFAO. • Review and approve transactions posted in Intacct and highlight data accuracy and integrity issues.

🎯 Requirements

• A degree in accounting or a related field highly preferred, or equivalent work experience. • A minimum of 8 years of accounting experience is required. • Nonprofit accounting experience is preferred. • 4-6 years direct supervisory experience required. • Expertise in Intacct – Sage software. • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated application of GAAP. • Knowledge of Federal Grants Reporting, Federal Grants Rules and Regulations. • Supervisory Skills - ability to lead and motivate team members through performance management, engagement, development, and retention strategies. • Highly organized in approach, with ability to set and manage priorities. • Ability to work independently in achieving results consistently on deadlines. • Excellent team working skills; ability to collaborate. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
