📋 Description

• The Renewable Energy Electrical Engineer is responsible for independently assessing building electrical systems while performing technical on-site surveys and in-office analysis on assigned projects. • Analysis will include participation in technical studies, investigations, and development of energy-efficient scope on assigned projects. • Specific responsibilities include: • Assists in the production of projects that are on-time, within-budget, and meet the requirements of industry standards & codes and client specifications. • Leads, schedules, and conducts site surveys to determine existing facility conditions independently. Assists in identifying and preparing energy efficient scope. • Performs electrical system calculations including solar energy generation, battery sizing, generator power system sizing, etc. • Interacts in meetings with owners, clients, and/or architects as needed independently; prepares meeting notes. • Designs and prepares documentation for electrical systems for projects including solar arrays, battery energy storage systems, and demand response programs. • Assists Mechanical Survey Team with necessary electrical infrastructure designs to support proposed mechanical equipment changes/upgrades. Can include design work involving switchgears, switchboards, automatic transfer switches, transformers, metering, and generators. • Assists all Renewables Team members with questions concerning electrical engineering design, codes, and one line diagram creation. • Assists the development team in the coordination with other disciplines, including energy modeling, financial modeling, lighting, design, etc. • Assist the Renewables Team Director with Quality Control reviews of project work by other team members. • Attends and/or teaches in-house and external training sessions in necessary technical areas related to building systems. • Participates in industry organizations and attends events, meetings, and activities. • Upholds company owner advocacy philosophy and organizational core values. • Supervises less experienced engineers and/or technicians while managing specific projects.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year ABET accredited university. • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and aptitude. • Required experience in Excel and Word. • Ability to communicate effectively with facility managers and engineers. • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines while on survey. • Ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. • Ability to use technology and apps for collecting data while on survey. • Passion for quality and client satisfaction. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment. • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors. • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
