📋 Description

• Provide technical construction knowledge to the project team. • Work closely with operations to ensure the scope is clear and understood. • Procuring of consultant design services, and working with operations and designer to ensure value engineer and innovation is incorporated at the design stage. • Procuring of contractors to deliver the work, including specification, tender review, project delivery and compliance with H&S, planning and permitting legislation. • Manage internal and external stakeholders and consultants for project delivery. • Ensure and promote strong health and safety leadership and delivery throughout the works, from inception to completion. • Regular site visits and lead the construction phase of the workings, integrating with other engineering disciplines as required.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in environmental or construction engineering, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specification in the waste or related sectors. • Experience working with planning and regulatory bodies, with solid knowledge of environmental permitting, planning regulations, and site investigation considerations. • Strong understanding of contract procurement and administration, particularly NEC and IchemE forms of contract. • Excellent problem-solving and workload prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. • Good knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM regulations and practical site-based H&S practices. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, with prior experience in the waste management industry preferred.
