📋 Description

• Research and investigate global fraud trends to support high-impact marketing and thought leadership content. • Analyse BioCatch data globally and regionally using AI-assisted analytical tools where appropriate. • Surface patterns and apply fraud expertise and contextual judgement to validate and interpret findings. • Conduct research and analysis using external data sources. • Identify data-driven insights for Digital Banking Fraud Trends reports, threat landscapes, and forensic case studies. • Create high-quality written content that transforms complex data and ideas into compelling stories. • Design and develop effective visualisations of complex data. • Present findings internally and externally at BioCatch events. • Act as an internal conduit for intelligence sharing across BioCatch teams. • Build and maintain a data repository and self-service dashboard with automation and AI-driven querying capabilities. • Identify and implement process efficiencies and automation in data analysis. • Stay current with emerging AI technologies and identify workflow applications.

🎯 Requirements

• A bachelor’s/master’s degree in a STEM field and/or self-directed technology-focused education in programming for data analytics, with a passion for fighting fraud. • Several years’ experience at banks within fraud and/or financial crime departments, with demonstrated experience investigating real fraud cases. • Experience with SQL to an intermediate/advanced level. • Experience with Python and/or R (advantageous). • Hands-on experience with AI tools to support research and analysis, with a clear understanding of their strengths, weaknesses and limitations. • Strong written and verbal presentation skills. • Ability to create insightful data visualisations that tell compelling stories. • Second/third languages preferred. • A strong investigative mindset with the ability to question assumptions and challenge data-driven outputs where necessary. • The ability to operate in ambiguous environments with incomplete or imperfect data, applying reasoning and experience to reach strong, defensible conclusions. • Strong communicative skills and a collaborative mindset. • A curious, proactive mindset with a willingness to experiment with new approaches and tools, including AI. • A self-driven approach to adopting new technologies and learning quickly.
