📋 Description

• Sell organic and peptide chemistry products in the assigned geography • Drive quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year sales growth • Manage customer relationships and assist in developing and executing strategic initiatives • Take full sales responsibility for instruments and related accessories in the defined territory • Conduct hands-on demonstrations of instruments and related products to show business value and product differentiation • Manage and maintain demo resources and related accessories • Ensure customers are effectively trained and realize maximum benefit from Biotage products • Share responsibility for consumable product sales growth with the Inside Sales Representative • Maintain current customers and identify new customers • Provide accurate sales forecasts • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets • Qualify leads, manage opportunities systematically, and document activity and opportunity status in Salesforce.com • Generate quotes and negotiate final prices within authorized limits • Provide accurate, timely standard reports and ad hoc information • Perform additional responsibilities as requested • Work at customer sites and in chemistry laboratories • Travel in the field 3–5 days per week and complete 6–8 overnight stays per month on average

🎯 Requirements

• Excellent verbal, written, active listening, negotiation, and persuasion communication skills • Ability to manage time effectively, be a self-starter, be creative, and have strong organizational skills • Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment with shifting priorities • Demonstrated success dealing with complex pricing issues involving government and other granting agencies is a plus • Proficient computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Salesforce.com CRM software • Ability to work within a team • Bachelor’s degree in science related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Experience working in a chemistry laboratory environment with Biotage or related workflow tools is a plus • Proven track record of success in sales and account management is highly desirable • Experience selling scientific equipment is a plus • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills • Contribute to maintaining a good work environment and adhere to CARE Values locally and globally
