Who cares about redefining how everyone around us can get the best financial applications, not for an exclusive few.****If you're this person, we'd love to talk to you. • **What You'll Own** • - Build and ship high-quality native iOS features using Swift. • - Develop intuitive mobile experiences across insurance, payments, claims, renewals and financial services. • - Work closely with product managers, designers and backend engineers to simplify complex user journeys. • - Integrate backend APIs and ensure mobile applications remain stable, scalable and reliable. • - Continuously improve application performance, crash rates, loading speed, responsiveness, memory usage and battery efficiency. • - Use analytics, production insights and user feedback to continuously improve product quality. • - Build AI-assisted mobile experiences where they create meaningful value for users. • - Contribute to engineering standards, code reviews and continuous improvement across the native iOS platform. • **What We're Looking For** • - 3+ years of professional native iOS development experience using Swift. • - Strong experience building and maintaining production native iOS applications. • - Solid understanding of SwiftUI, UIKit, async/await and modern iOS architecture patterns. • - Strong knowledge of iOS platform fundamentals, mobile UX, usability, accessibility and user-centered design. • - Experience integrating REST APIs and troubleshooting production issues. • - Comfortable working independently in a remote, distributed engineering team. • - Strong ownership, fast execution and attention to product quality. • - GitHub, App Store links or examples of shipped native iOS applications are highly preferred. • **Tech Stack** • - Swift • - Swift Package Manager (SPM) • - SwiftUI • - SQL / NoSQL • - TensorFlow Lite (on-device inference) • **The Kind of Builder We Want** • - Thinks about complete user journeys, not just individual features. • - Enjoys turning complex financial workflows into simple mobile experiences. • - Writes clean, maintainable code while moving quickly. • - Comfortable working in an environment with evolving priorities. • - Proactively identifies UX, performance and reliability improvements. • - Takes ownership from idea through production. • - Honest about personal contributions, technical decisions and measurable impact. • **This Role Is Not For** • - Engineers who require fully specified tasks before taking action. • - Developers who focus only on implementation without considering user experience. • - People who overlook quality, performance, crashes or edge cases. • - Engineers who struggle in fast-moving startup environments. • - Candidates who overstate their ownership or impact. • **Looks Like** • - High-quality native iOS features are delivered consistently and efficiently. • - Mobile experiences become faster, simpler and more intuitive. • - Users complete financial journeys with minimal friction. • - Performance, stability and reliability improve with every release. • - BJAK continues building world-class native mobile experiences used by millions across Southeast Asia. • **Interview Process** • The process consists of three stages: • - **Online Coding Assessment** • We assess coding fundamentals, problem-solving ability and code quality. • - **Technical Interview** • We assess native iOS development fundamentals, architecture, API integration, debugging, performance optimization, UX thinking and production-quality engineering. • - **CEO Interview** • We assess ownership, execution speed, ambition, judgement, integrity and alignment with BJAK's builder culture. • Please share links to your App Store applications, GitHub repositories, portfolio or examples of shipped work where possible. We value real-world engineering experience, clear ownership and honest thinking more than a formal cover letter.
