📋 Description

• Design, build, and evolve services for BlaBlaCar’s Backoffice • Maintain strategic user-facing features such as claims management and reporting systems across the BlaBlaCar platform • Take full ownership of major features — from technical design and implementation to deployment and monitoring • Collaborate with Product Managers and fellow engineers to refine requirements and translate business needs into robust technical solutions • Maintain and raise the team’s code quality standards, providing constructive feedback and mentorship through code reviews • Document the solutions we build and ensure our APIs and services are well understood by consumer teams

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience at companies with a strong engineering culture, ideally in a growth-stage environment • Solid knowledge of Java and its ecosystem, with strong foundations in software architecture • Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring solutions (Datadog) • Significant experience building, deploying, and operating backend microservices in production • Product-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business impact through software design • Comfortable making technical decisions and balancing business needs with technical constraints • If you don’t meet 100% of the qualifications above, explain in your application why you would still be a great fit for this role
