📋 Description

• Operate and extend existing platform features for provisioning, deployment pipelines, access control, and service lifecycle management • Maintain integrations between platform services and internal systems, including CI/CD, identity and secrets management, internal APIs, and event-driven hooks • Support in-progress access control, data classification, and dynamic masking work in a Snowflake-based analytical environment • Maintain and incrementally improve self-service automation for access provisioning, pipeline failure handling, and service health • Use existing telemetry, alerting, and runbooks to diagnose and resolve platform issues • Participate in on-call rotation and triage production incidents across supported platform services • Document decisions and open threads for a clean handoff at the end of the contract

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience operating a cloud analytical data platform such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or similar • Experience with access control, data masking/governance, and compute management • Comfort operating with elevated privileges and awareness of blast radius • Experience with containerized applications • Experience designing CI/CD pipelines using Buildkite, GitHub Actions, or similar • Experience with deployment automation for production services • Experience building or operating internal platforms, developer tooling, or self-service infrastructure • Comfort with REST APIs, OAuth/OIDC, webhook ingestion, secrets management, and identity/SSO patterns in a managed cloud environment • Proficiency in Python and SQL • Comfortable owning alerts and runbooks written by others • Experience closing the loop on incidents with root cause analysis • Prior experience joining an existing codebase or platform mid-stream as a contractor or new hire and becoming productive quickly with limited onboarding time • Strong written communication • Ability to provide clear async updates and documentation within a fixed engagement window
