📋 Description

• Produce detailed architectural working drawings and documentation for residential new homes using ArchiCAD 3D. • Update, amend, and finalize plans based on client feedback, site constraints, and engineering requirements. • Maintain strict adherence to company drafting standards and layer management. • Conduct accurate material take-offs and quantities from 3D models and construction drawings. • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bill of quantities (BOQ) for standard designs and custom modifications. • Identify discrepancies between drawings and estimates to minimize budget variances. • Ensure all designs strictly comply with the National Construction Code (NCC), Queensland Development Code (QDC), and relevant Australian Standards. • Prepare and lodge applications for town planning, council approvals, and building certification. • Liaise confidently with Brisbane-based certifiers, council officers, town planners, and engineers to resolve queries and secure approvals.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven experience in drafting and estimating for residential new homes in Australia. • Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in ArchiCAD 3D is mandatory. • Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC), ResCode guidelines, and local council planning schemes. • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, with the confidence to professionally negotiate and liaise with Australian authorities. • Work Ethic: High attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and the ability to work independently within an offshore team structure.
