📋 Description

• Key Responsibilities: Fundraising (80%) Master the organization’s case for support and effectively communicate funding priorities to prospective donors. • Manage a portfolio of 125–150 current and prospective major gift donors across assigned markets; develop and implement tailored cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies. • Partner closely with Field Leadership and national partners to build pipeline, support donor strategy, and align efforts with territory needs and organizational priorities. • Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, board members, foundations, and volunteers. • Lead the strategic development, packaging, and solicitation of major gifts ranging from $100,000 to $1 million • Achieve individual and regional fundraising goals aligned with organizational benchmarks. • Ensure exemplary stewardship for all donors in the assigned portfolio. • Support the national strategy and execution of individual solicitations. • Cultural Leadership (10%) • Serve as a lead on initiatives or projects that strengthen the Leadership Giving (LG) department and promote a culture of philanthropy across Breakthrough T1D. • Collaborate with division LG team members, the Mission Department, and Field leadership to support revenue and donor engagement goals. • Administration & Management (10%) • Maintain accurate and timely activity tracking through Salesforce CRM. • Assist in creating and managing the Leadership Giving budget for assigned territories. • Facilitate territory-level Leadership Giving meetings with internal stakeholders as needed. • Support additional responsibilities and organizational priorities as assigned. • Essential Functions: • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. • The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and infrequently up to 50 pounds. • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. • Additional information: Requests for medical, religious, and other exemptions will be considered on an individual basis. 🎯 Requirements

• 7 years of professional fundraising experience in a complex, mission-driven organization. • Demonstrated success securing major gifts of $100,000 or more. • Strong ability to convey complex scientific or medical information clearly and persuasively. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills. • Collaborative team player with experience working in cross-functional and volunteer-driven environments. • Skilled in donor strategy, prospect research, and moves management. • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote setting. • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and discretion when handling confidential information. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce (or comparable CRM). • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including overnight and occasional weekend travel. • College degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
