• At Brightfield, we are revolutionizing the way organizations manage their workforce. • We provide the insights our customers need to reduce costs, manage risk, and unlock new levels of agility and performance. • We are a fully remote team of data-driven innovators, problem solvers, and industry experts who value flexibility, ownership, and continuous learning. • Brightfield is seeking a hands-on Director of Engineering to lead the development and growth of our AI-powered platform, TDX. • You will lead day-to-day engineering execution and team management, driving the scalability, usability, and AI capabilities of the TDX platform. • This role is ideal for someone eager to build and lead a world-class engineering team. You will report directly to the CTO.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership role. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills—comfortable working across disciplines and with executive stakeholders. • Proven success building and scaling engineering teams in a SaaS environment. • Strong experience deploying AI/ML capabilities within production software systems. • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies (AWS preferred). • Demonstrated ability to implement engineering best practices that balance speed and quality. • Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and monitoring practices. • Expertise in technologies such as Python, Snowflake, and LLM/ML frameworks is a plus.
