📋 Description

• Assist the Account Manager in basic payer contracting, negotiations, and contracting-related inquiries • Guide clients through the payer contracting process, including contract terms, fees, negotiations, and implementation • Support achieving the highest reimbursement fees possible • Ensure timely contract renewals when applicable • Communicate contracting changes effectively • Stay current on payer contracting trends • Set up and thoroughly follow payer-contract processes for assigned clients, including price negotiations • Develop professional, effective relationships with payers • Track open contracts due for follow-up • Track completed contracts requiring renewal or verification of current payer rates • Address stalled open contracts and escalate when needed • Address initial negotiation requests for open contracts • Handle payer relations for contracting matters • Handle internal contracting matters • Provide timely follow-up and high client satisfaction with contracting services

🎯 Requirements

• 2-year college degree • Two years experience in a US-based medical billing practice or two years experience in a medical practice dealing with billing including but not limited to, provider credentialing, authorizations, reimbursement, etc., preferably at least partially in Behavioral Health • Detail orientated with above-average organizational skills • Able to plan and prioritize to meet deadlines • Excellent verbal and written communication • Communicates clearly and effectively • Excellent reading comprehension • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word • Thorough understanding of navigating the internet • Own computer and internet connection • Must handle own benefits and taxes
