📋 Description
• Supporting startup clients who need accounting help but may not have a need for an internal team at their growth stage. • Managing the entire accounting function for clients. • Building robust accounting processes and systems for clients. • Facilitating client meetings and communicating client needs effectively. • Context shifting, prioritizing, and evaluating client needs. • Collaborating with various clients, ensuring accounting functions align with their growth stages.
🎯 Requirements
• You have a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or something similar. • 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a startup environment. • Strong finance-based analytical skills. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, reconciling physical counts with GL inventory balances, calculating COGS. • Able to work through client requests involving prepaid revenue/deferred revenue + revenue recognition. • Experience with intangible asset management & mark-to-market valuation. • Experience with payment processing systems (like Stripe). • Proficient in creating and managing monthly close lists. • Experience producing tax-ready end-of-year reports. • Experience processing accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Experience producing financial reports. • Strong working knowledge of software tools like Ramp, QBO, NetSuite, and various payroll systems such as Gusto, Rippling, and Justworks. • Experience using Zoom and other video conferencing tools to facilitate client meetings.
