Bushwise is the exclusive Southern African training provider for the International Field Guide Association (IFGA) certification and standards. It offers on-the-ground practical courses (3 days to 12 months) in safari guiding, game management, wildlife tourism, and conservation management, plus short courses and online courses for nature enthusiasts and field guiding. Bushwise also provides recruitment and placement services for lodges and wildlife employers, onsite training and IFGA assessments, career advice, and runs events, webinars and open days. It supports students with accreditation (CATHSSETA), financial aid guidance, and a foundation offering grants and discounts.

📋 Description

• Develop brand style guides and roll them out across all online and offline touchpoints by providing templates and guidelines for wider teams. • Ensure rigid global adherence to the brand style guide across all relevant customer touchpoints and internal corporate use. • Continuously develop the identities of all brands, ensuring all visual elements stay fresh and fully aligned with current trends. • Improve the conversion rate on all websites by designing features that directly enhance the overall user experience across all devices. • Work collaboratively with the marketing team by providing insights and creative assets for all marketing channels in a timely manner. • Execute website content updates and build new front-end elements such as landing pages, programs, banners, and promotional materials. • Work seamlessly with the development team by providing designs that consider development constraints and efficiencies, while reviewing new features promptly and clearly. • Support the wider administrative office by providing design assets for necessary activities as agreed to by the CMO. • Stay up to date with design industry trends and developments, reporting regularly to the CMO with opportunities for optimisation or growth. • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing Operations to continuously improve workflows for all operations within the creative team.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a senior design role. • 5+ years of experience in creative team leadership. • 5+ years of experience conceptualising and creating new brand identities (including logos) and leading the look and feel of new websites from end to end. • 5+ years of hands-on experience editing websites, ensuring layout and user journeys are completely optimised for conversion. • 2+ years of experience conceptualising and producing a high volume of high-converting creative assets engineered specifically for paid media performance. • Complete fluency in using Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Figma. • Proven experience designing both digital and offline assets for a millennial and Gen Z audience. • Bonus if you also have: • A deep conceptual understanding of South African bush careers, the field guiding industry, and the wildlife conservation industry. • Experience in marketing to a Gen Z audience specifically within the UK, US, EU, and South Africa. • Significant experience operating within a fast-paced, agency-like marketing environment. • Experience leveraging generative AI tools and workflows to accelerate asset production, scale creative variations, and optimise design output. • Direct experience working operationally on Trello.
